The exciting history of the Eden Hotel
From its origins to the present day, this building has played a fundamental role in the daily life of the inhabitants of Sistiana. Built by Jože Legiša in the late 19th century, it was first an inn, then a village bakery whose wood-fired oven was left to rest only at Christmas. In some rooms it even hosted the local elementary school.
In 2008, its expansion and renovation works were based on a well-known hotel designer’s project, thus continuing its vocation for hospitality:
“In 2021, we decided to take care of the hotel and its soul,” tells Mikela, the owner. “We made further improvements and modernization to the building, keeping its harmony with its past alive by actualizing its original ideal of enhancing the territory. Our employees – the beating heart of this little piece of paradise – embody and convey this philosophy, too.”
